Passed a beautiful Apple Orchard by Kents Hill School on the way to Echo Lake in Maine, I stopped to take photos and parked across the street in a field. I had no time to paint that Summer. I returned a couple years later. The orchard was gone. I parked across the street where I took the photos. I felt very disoriented, no apple orchard just a field. I went home and found my photos and started painting. Would not let me. The painting became a scene from Arizona no apples on the trees. A year later I put apples on those trees.
